Our Missions
Our research interests lie at the intersection of physics, chemistry, and engineering, and our mission is developing materials and methods for use in a variety of applications, including propulsion systems, energy harvesting, and drug delivery. We also seek to understand the structure-property relationship of materials at different length scales. These areas of investigation are necessary not only because they address fundamental questions relating to size-dependent properties, but also because a better characterization of these properties may lead to improvements in current applications. We promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education among undergraduate students and minority groups.
